Oh OK. That doesn't really affect me :p

I see CS:GO is on PS3 as well, which is a bit odd. Anyone had experience with it?
Don't think these kinda shooters works well on console because of the controller

Wow, was just thinking of getting into this. What PC specs are needed? How much is it on steam? (yes I'm new here, in that dept anyway)
It is $14.99 at the moment, you could wait for a sale to get it at 75% off.

Played some CS:GO last night. Daaamn, but my reflexes are slow by comparison with how they used to be :(
Anyone tried played at 1024x768 with screen resizing from nVidia control panel? Apparently the pro's play like that, but all I can think of it's going to be compressed then stretched out again so it will smooth everything out and give you 200+ fps which IMO is pointless if you have a 60hz monitor. While the game will feel smoother I will just cause unnecessary heat on your GPU.
I was reading about it on TeamLiquid Forums and have seen a few Redditors using it as well. I can assume it's easier to see larger player models than smaller ones? There is also a console command that makes all the textures all one colour, but it's considered as cheating in competitive.
2hrs away from my gold Bravo Coin. Then I think I'll give the international competitive scene a break for a bit.
Make sure to set your rates properly otherwise you'll experience choke upwards of 20% which makes the server feel like it's lagging when it's actually you. Default is 8000 but push it up to 12500 for a 'smoother' feel.
Anyone seen a FPS drop with the new update? Seen a lot of people complaining about it, but haven't noticed anything when I play.
PC Gamer posted an interesting article on tweaks you can make to CS:GO to improve your competitiveness. It's worth a read even if you only make a few of the mentioned changes:
How to configure Counter-Strike: GO for the maximum competitive advantage
i need to get around to making some buy binds... hate clicking >.<
I used to be a huge CS junkie, I played 1.5, 1.6, Condition Zero, Source etc. but only recently really got back into it with GO, but I have to say that I lost all semblance of skill. It is quite sad that we are unable to make use of matchmaking, I bought the Operation Phoenix coin, but can't really upgrade it. I also don't think it's necessary to lower graphics with proper hardware (HD 7970 GHZ), since it should handle the game perfectly?
A HD7970 should be more than adequate to max out CSGO. The system requirements really aren't very high.
I though so, but surely the pro's have better cards and yet they keep their settings low, is there any real benefit from the low settings over the higher settings when capable to max it out without any problems?
Anybody knows what this new CS:GO Phoenix thing is about?
It's a new operation (similar to operation Bravo) with a new weapons case and coin.
Maps and some custom weapons it seems

I stopped playing this ages ago, hacking was rife when I last played and it put me off the game completely.
I'm still from the original CS guys, I know when players are skilled and when they hack...
Edit: I also found of the COD community playing and if anyone here recalls they are by far one of the worst if not the worst community on earth xD lol
Oh hello...
Didn't know this existed. Add me on steam :D
thetimeislater
I'm Nova3 on my main but it's on a 7 day cool down due to my internet dying during matches...
Add me and let's jam :D
Local MM servers are up! Get queueing people! :D
Such an amazing experience, but I was queued with dual Ak players and got carried 16-1..
Seems like this thread died out. Which of you still play cs:go?
