Windows 7 Dual Monitor Resolution

Hi Gamers

Is there a way to set up a ' Dual Monitor', but running them at separate resolutions?

Tried running one @ 1080p and another @ 1360x768 - with no luck, has to be either / or.

Getting a 32" LED TV, and I want to hook it up to my PS3 and PC, while using my 18.5" for my PC primarily.

Is that with VGA or HDMI cause my old laptop screen which should be same as the PC monitor was set to 1480 res on 17" while my TV was set to 1920/1080p and could change them independantly.

For Dual Monitors There are different modes eg. Extend and Mirror. I'm currently using extend, with monitors with different resolutions and doing what you want. Right click an empty spot on the desktop and select screen resolution, select the resolution for the monitor of your choosing in the window that opens.

I use same on windows 8 thought it would be different in windows 7 :D

Yeah it's the same on windows 7, plus I'm also using windows 8 :)

I had set mine, but the one of a lower res was simply, seemingly a zoomed version.

Are you using mirror or extend since I have no problems with that at all and hdmi?

Went straight from Vista to Windows 8 so took a while to get use to :D.

I'm not sure if it is this but look for scaling options and try changing that.
