I don't see the big deal here. Nobody is forcing you to buy the game if your Gay or not. If the games doesn't tailor to your needs then don't buy it.
It's a bit sad that we live in a world where allowing same-sex characters to marry in a simulator is considered social commentary. It should be considered normal, because that's what it is.Quote:

Unfortunately the whole world isnt as forward thinking as us. I cannot even say Western World, because there still many Western Countries (USA hasnt even fully legalized it) that do not allow people of the same sex to marry.
My point being, what is normal (and should be normal) to us, isn't the norm to everyone. One could argue that there are more people/countries in the world that are anti-gay marriage - so then that is surely what "normal" is.
Anyways, as Ike said: I don't think its fair on game developers to be expected to be all inclusive in their games. After all, its their project/art/idea, they should be allowed to design it however they want to. If you disagree - then don't support it.
