What I dislike about the new interface is that when you double tap the XB1 icon, the main screen goes all dark when the side pane pops up.
How the heck am I supposed to see the pic I'm taking,it's ridiculous.
For all you that may not be aware, this week is a pretty awesome week for the Xbox One.
This week ALL Xbox One owners will be getting the new Dashboard (12 November) should you don't have it already. I've been rocking the dashboard for a while now, and it's glorious. It's so much faster than before, much less clunky and much easier to get around in. They've really done good with it. The total size of update is about 1.15GB so be ready for that.
Today we are getting the full list of 100 games that will be available on Backward Compatibility. Remember that the moment you have been updated to the new Dashboard, BC is active for you. There are a lot of speculations on which games will be the first ones on the list, and hopefully some classics makes the list. With this, ALL Xbox 360 games that are free with gold as of this month will be compatible with the Xbox One, which means that's 4 free games per month.
From their FAQ:
Also, the new dashboard is will also be pushed onto any Xbox One, regardless of Xbox Live status.Quote:
Is Xbox Live Gold required for backward compatibility?
Xbox Live Gold is not required for Xbox One Backward Compatibility. However, it is required for any standard Xbox Live Gold feature like online multiplayer.
Interestingly, PrepaidGamer.com has 3 month codes for Xbox Gold for R199, which comes to a cost of R66.33 per month. Thus buying Gold directly from the Xbox store is cheaper for 3 month. However, they also have 12 month subs for R465, which comes to R38.75 per month, making it the best value per month for Xbox Gold.
