Firstly, this may sound hypocritical but it's true. Opinions are like shit, everyones stinks.
Luckily I believe that everyone has a right to voice theirs regardless of their beliefs on the matter sometimes we just have to agree to disagree with someone and be an adult about it. Accept that not matter what we think someone else will always have a different opinion.
Secondly, games to not make violent people, violence makes people violent, this has been proven over and over again.
Thirdly, I am making a very crude example of this but... Postal, Manhunt, 25 to life where violent games, and can not be justified by saying well you are killing criminals. Killing in our modern society is wrong and killing someone because you are told or believe that their actions are causing danger is also fundamentally wrong.
I won't go into detail about this because it can be split and debated into many other topics including the topic of self preservation. Put simply - killing someone because they are bad is just not right, that said killing someone who is good is not right either.
Finally, Will I play this game? Yes. Will I enjoy it? Possibly, I can't be too sure about it until I have played it. Does it make a bad person? According to me no.Others might differ in opinion and as I stated at the start I accept the fact that some may not agree.
What I do believe is this: It is a bunch of pixels, and if you do find pleasure in a game like this then depending on the pleasure you receive from it you may need to receive some form of medical attention and counselling. However if you do play it and seem to become aroused or infatuated by it I believe that you are suffering some form of repressive emotions that are being brought out by the relief that you are finding with in the game. Again the game is not to blame but the immense amount of mental or physical abuse that you may have suffered at some point in your life is now being brought out and offset by the game.
I'll leave you with this to think about.
