Could it be network connection that's causes it? What is your hardware specs?

I highly doubt it. didn't have this problem with my old system

now I'm running a Radeon HD7870 XT with an AMD FX-8350E, AROG mobo and 8gb ram

See, better specs than my system. Much better actually. In any case, perhaps an ssd will alleviate your issues?

have a SSD but BF4 is on there. and that would only remedy loading times. thing is supercruise starts out at 60fps and then gradually starts to drop. especially as I approach planets/moons/stars

What are your graphical settings? Sounds like it could be an issue with texture streaming.

I set the object draw distance on it's lowest as one forum suggested but didn't make a difference
