Frontier trading update
Quote:
This morning we released a trading update that we wanted to share with you.
The update explains that our next instalment of the Horizons season of expansions (2.1 – The Engineers) which was previously planned for April will now move into the beginning of our next financial year. We’re aiming for to release the beta in May.
We’re sorry to keep you waiting, but the Engineers is a truly colossal update and this additional time is being used to ensure that the new content is of the highest quality possible. We take great pride in all of the content we produce and we firmly believe that giving this additional development time is the right thing to do for the game, the studio and the fantastic community of players.
You can read the update here:

Thanks,

I've been wanting to discuss this. Due to the fact that the community were unhappy with them selling Horizons off as Early access at first and everybody getting a second executable to run when there was no reason for it, they've had some bad luck with their projected finances. After moving Horizons as a DLC to the original Elite: Dangerous executable they've had to make some changes to their projected profits for the financial year of 2015 (Which ends in March 2016 for UK) and as such, they've effectively made less in 2015 than they thought, mostly because the profits from Horizons will now fall under the 2016 financial year.
Which means we get screwed over a little. But hopefully it will be worth the wait.
I do feel like they need to do something about bugs though, and release some stability patched interim.
Share price tanked 15% on the news. http://s27.postimg.org/l1letkorn/NKy_Uc_XZ_1.png
Not sure if anyone here has tried something like this, maybe Avatar ?

... make gaming and 'simming' fun: by just moving your head, you can look around in the game you play! The existing programs have proven their power and are used by many people around the world. These programs have also got a few shortcomings: they may cost you quite a bit and they require the users to wear some clip, hat or other device with LED's to make it work... To make face-tracking available to everyone and eliminate the need for anything but your computer and a (simple) webcam...
