I also have 8GB of RAM which works fine. However, my pagefile was set to be only 2GB. The game alt tabbed me and complained about memory limits or something (although I still had 1GB RAM free). Increasing the size of my pagefile removed the problem.
Not sure why it did this, but oh well. I haven't crashed in quite some time.

pagefile acts as temp storage for ram, so the more ram and the faster your harddrive the less need there is for a big pagefileQuote:
