Can Someone please, in very plain laymen, explain the whole Web Africa Deal thing to me please?
step 1 : You buy web africa account (even if its pre-paid).
Step 2 : Connect to a Web Africa Servers and its free to play. Only on WA servers. In the WA management console to check your usage you can see they have added a "Freezone" part which is used for gaming.
Steam content server will work pretty much the same im guessing. In other words you pay via CC to steam overseas, click the download button and the bandwidth you use is free.
Sorry just noticed how does this relate to hardware ^_^?
So i can buy 1 gb of Pre-paid Webafrica Bandwith and use it to play online, on their servers, or download stuff from Steal?

Yeah I think it is all a distraction from Webafrica's really high prices. Yes they have local game servers but most of the time no one is on them. They say a local Steam server is on the way, where is it now? we are sitting on the 5th of Feb and nothing. Must say I am not impressed by some people at WA (Who shall remain nameless)
I dont think moving over to WA is a smart move just yet, its too late for me, although I am busy using Gconnect because of their prices.:mad:

But yes, with 1GB prepaid you can play on the Wage servers for free. However the local Steam server is not available to the public yet.
WebAfrica will also be announcing their price reductions this month.
They bringing out there new prices in march, the CEO explained it all on myBB, Give them a break, they may not be bumping ubercheap BW like Afrihost but they working hard to get us some better deals, the trials showed us that
