What do you think of the MyBroadband forums?

A lot of us here are most likely originally from the MyBroadband forum, and many of us left that site behind completely when we signed up here. I was wondering what everyone's opinion on that forum is these days.

Going back there about once or twice a year I just find that it becomes more and more toxic towards people who aren't popular regulars there, that's if they don't all just ignore you completely. I guess that's a problem when a forum just becomes too big. Do you think the same might eventually happen to MyGaming? I suppose it helps that we all have something important in common: we all love gaming.

I don't post on the forum anymore some people are toxic, only go read the frontpage and see if there is any better mobile data out there but so far nothing.

I think over here we are sometimes a bit clicky. At least that's how my wife describes it and that's why she doesn't want to post here. People see us as the Elitists as we've seen before. Which is strange since to me it feels like we are friendly to new people.

I just wish people would stay here. Like [MENTION=18030]phalen[/MENTION], where did she go? She was new, fitted in nicely and then disappeared. Did we chase her away? Did she find the place boring? Were people mean and rude? We just don't know.

Are there any new people here who are too afraid to post? What say you, are we scary and mean? Is MetalSoup's demeanor chasing you away?

MyBroadband is open to a much bigger audience, MORE topics than you'll ever need.
Here, we are more focused on gaming. It's what unites us as a group.

I find many of the discussions uncomfortable.

I left MYBB a loong time ago, Way too many douches imo, some came here (necuno) and left again too many adults there behaving like little children and lets not get started on the philosophical discussion (if its still called that) section. that Marine 1 Oke worked on my Tits. I hope a russian satellite or north korean one falls on him and crushes him.

anyway moving on, hope everyone is looking forward to the loooong weekend :p

i think she's studying full time, well if i remember correctly she said she was leaving her job to do that

I was at the MyBB forum way back when. the welcome was less than lukewarm. some of them were just plain rude for no reason.

I came to MyG. ok I'll admit a comp lured me here cause I was tired or TBlaar rubbing his winnings in our faces. but the people were a lot friendlier and welcoming which is why I decided to stick around and in the process made a lot of good friends here, even the ones I have not even met yet (my wife calls you my internet friends).

which just serves as proof that gamers in general are better human beings

those people aren't gamers. they are deluded humans detached from reality who are 5 cards short of a full hand.
