Darksiders highly enjoyable and very underrated

Last night I managed to finish Darksiders which I still regret as I only got into bed at 4 this morning. But after defeating the final boss and watching the ending, which by the way is left wide open for a sequel remember, War is but one of the Four Horsemen. I was very impressed with this highly underrated titles. I know I have compared Darksiders a lot to Legend of Zelda: Ocarina in the past. But for me, that’s a good thing. Because as a stand alone game Darksiders is original enough in the story and character design department that any other derivative aspects of the game seem more like an homage than a rip off to me. The 360 version has a slight problem of screen tearing on release day but it got a patch that fixed it a month after its release. Darksiders is a quality game and comes highly recommended to anyone who loves his/her Zelda, DevilMayCry and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver games. Now Vigil Games how about a sequel?

Who is underrating it larch?
So far I have only heard good things about it and nothing really negative.

Not negative but rather not getting much "air time" as some of the other games.

They haven't been underating it as far as saming good game but meh.

It really is a fantastic game and even the portal minigame was fun.

Played the Demo last night and it is flipping awesome.

I was really wondering how this game was, i havent real gave this it a chance you cant do that these days, these damn things cost too much money. I get the demo see how it goes if its as good as the guy Larch says i might consider buying it since i do need something new to play. Till God of War comes out next week.

Yeah I am the same, hate wasting money only find the game is crap. Get the demo and try it out.

I was pleasantly surprised how enjoyable it actually was. Its worth the $ in my opinion.

This is the problem with new IP's and why we see games with sequels running into the double digits....
I wouldn't say its underrated but because of the prices of new games, gamers are weary of forking out cash for games that are not known.

Yeah you are right, I think the biggest mistake gamers make, myself included, is not doing proper research before buying a game.

Yes definitely, research is very important and therefore I'm glad there are video-reviews and demo's available. I feel magazines and websites' written reviews fail(most of the time) to give the necessary information to make the judgment if the game is worthy of your money. How many times has it happened that I read a review about a new game and after wards still feel I don't know what genre this game falls under and if its even 1st or 3rd person (yes, it happens) But now you'll say a picture is worth a thousand words....that would help if the pictures they included are actual in-game footage and not cut-scenes! :mad:

Anyway, Darksiders is a fun game and I enjoyed it till the end.
