Okay, diabolus, I want to be absolutely clear on the cars that we don't end up with the same issue as what happened a week ago.
I foresee some issues with this challenge, as some people will take track day cars, because they are 100% production cars. They are impractical as all hell, but not racing only whatsoever. Thus, they cannot be excluded technically. I'm sure this point will have a lot of contention once lap times get's posted and stuff.
Also, from an admin position, it will be difficult to check that everyone is following the rules of the challenge.
but...
We want it to be interesting, and we want people to not just take the fastest car and win all the time
For these reasons, I would like to propose a new rule for challenge setting:
When placing a challenge, the car selection MUST BE DONE by Class Only. You can add additional filters as per in game filters (Manufacturer, Year, Class). This is the only overhead restrictions to car selection
Addendum to this rule: Each challenger can add HARD MODE to their challenges, which is not necessary to complete the challenge, but anyone that posts a time according to this HARD MODE rule will be awarded 5 bonus points. These HARD MODE sub-challenges are like driving without assists, driving with a small sub-class of cars, driving with a specific drivetrain.
All those in favour?
So, like this week's challenge will be ALL CLASS R CARS are eligible for the challenge, but any person that can end up on the leaderboard without taking a racing car or any open wheeler will get 5 additional points
Great, that will do.
However, if you upgraded a lower class car to a higher class, doesn't it show up in the filter you upgraded it to? I'm fine with allowing upgrading cars from lower classes . The car with which most of us did the challenge with last week was in fact a class E car upgraded to C class.
I understand what you are pointing at. And yes, ANY car is 100% fine for the challenge, as long as it is not higher than the specified class for the challenge. If you want to upgrade a Datsun to R class and compete, you are more than welcome.
If fact, with the proposed addendum, the challenger might even add HARD MODE challenges like that should they want
Ok, great , so then it is simple,
-----------------------------------------------------
Track : Silverstone GP, in the rain
Class : R
Cars : Any
Tuning : Any
BONUS/HARD : Doing this in a car from 1950-1959 (look under Lotus for fun examples of this)

Ma se kind! I forgot to even post my safety first banker lap last week. :(
Sweet challenge circuit this week. Love Silverstone. Now to find the wet weather car and setup to get around it without rearranging every barrier.
Get away from the TV kiddo, Daddy's got some driving to do!!
