Space: The Next Frontier

So between SpaceX and Blue Origin it seems we might just be colonising space sooner than we thought.

The question on my mind is, do we want to? Can it really be a way of life?
I mean, I'm no doctor of scientific science stuff, but can humans even live in space?
Isn't long term zero gravity like bad for the human body?
And what about "space madness"? (not 100% sure that is actually a thing. might just be madeup Hollywood bullshit)

And why would we even want to go live and work in space in the first place?

I love this kind of stuff! I would only like to go into space for like a space holiday... Not to live permanently... but the way movies have conditioned us is pretty interesting... like you made me immediately think, what if another planet has higher gravity than here? is that even possible? And lol @"spaceMadness"...

yeah holidy sure! I'm all for that!

but these people are talking about "millions of people living and working in space"... don't see the point

as for planets with higher gravity; AFAIK it is possible to live on them, but as generation go by the average height of people will become shorter. opposite applies for planets with lower gravity.

i think we running out of space and resources here on earth. and pushing the tech will also bring better use of the remaining resources we have.

You see i dont even know if shit like this is true? Could we eventually have 3 different planets, with small medium and tall humans? The thought of it is pretty crazy... I mean surely people living at a higher gravity would have stronger muscle mass? Stuff like this blows my mind...

Artificial gravity can be done , I know low gravity over time does effect the body astronauts have to exercise or suffer bone density loss and muscle atrophy.

I think the next big issue is cosmic radiation , So if you knock those two down I think it might be viable.
