Faulty AV cable? If you've got friends with Xboxes, try borrowing one.
Or try turning the telly on. :P
lol telly is on :P
yea first thought it may have been a faulty AV cable. Borrowed someone else's cable but still the same problem :(
Well, Microsoft has an article on the issue here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916158
Otherwise, it's possible the video port has fried. In that case, I'd (wickedly) recommend force-RRODing the console, and getting a swap-out. That's assuming it's still under warranty.
sigh....that's really annoying...since this is a replacement unit already
i find it mind boggling that the swapped out console does not have a standard 1 year warranty :O
Yeah, I was pretty disappointed about that too. :/
i don't quite understand how they can justify not giving a standard 1 year warranty on a new box.
the worst thing is that the 3 year RROD warranty remains from the date that you purchased the original console! :O
Try a different output method. If you have a HDMI/DVI capable monitor, try plugging it into that. May get to squeeze some more life out of your 360.
or sell it and get a playstation!
i dont think a non working xbox will fetch a decent price :D
