Hehe just play FFXIII without it. There is not much you can miss, and anything you might is not important unlike previous FF's. Also the user-made ones are great on many occassion. The forums also have amazing info.
Worry about getting a guide on a 2nd playthrough, (unless this is). I like guides, but I feel if one uses them too often they can ruin a game experience, and make a person lazy. Remember this only if you use it on your first playthrough.

I personally just get mine from Amazon UK. Yeah it takes a little while, but its close to half the price than some local retailers are charging for them. And I rather wait for a better deal.
Online guides are the way to go, but I have seen BTGames selling some game guides. Didn't check the prices.
