So as most of you know, or should know. UK voted to exit the EU.
What will this mean for Hardware pricing in South Africa. The Dollar just got stronger and the pound is falling.
New taxes will be implemented and many more regulation will be changed and adjusted.
I feel the pricing locally will most likely rise now.
I am just glad that I bought mu GPU last week already. RIP all the new 1080s yet to arrive.
Or what do you guys think?
Do we get our hardware from the UK? Why would the UK have an influence on hardware pricing ? Unless the rand losses significantly more to the dollar.
The new taxes and regulations will be for things coming through the UK. Shouldn't influence us much as we already have trade agreements with the states/eu, ect Will need one with the UK thought.
I wouldn't be surprised thought if some rise prices citing this even if it has no influence.

i think flex is onto something. do we not get our hardware from UK or do we get them from the EU? Or do we get them straight from the manufacturing countries?
like cpu are they not sold in batches of 1000's then our suppliers will buy like 100 from a uk supplier and bring that in at a time?
Cant see Brexit being an issue for anyone but Britian. Even then, its not going to be too bad on their side.

Also by my quick deductions and google fu I see the rand dollar exchange rate has dropped in our favour by about a rand since last night, so, thats nice.
