when you say successful video game tech i was expecting a slightly in depth article on either gpu's and how they have evolved or game engines and all the new rendering features they have acquired etc.

Agree. Listicles here becoming a bit predictable and unnecessary I think.

I think you're mistaking tech with merchandise... playstation 4 is not new "tech", in fact out of the box the tech inside was already 1 generation behind.... please revise article heading :/
