Rime may now be a multiplatform game, including nintendo switch

Despite its original announcement as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, Rime now appears to be headed to other platforms as well, including Nintendo Switch.

As noted by Gematsu, the cel-shaded open-world adventure game is listed as a PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch title on the Brazilian Ratings Board.

Sony announced earlier this year that it would no longer be publishing the game after parting ways with developer Tequila Works, with the studio reacquiring the rights to Rime.

Now, Grey Box and Six Foot have teamed up with Tequila Works to publish the game, with more info about the long-in-development title coming later next year. Little has been said or shown of Rime since its initial unveiling back at Gamescom 2013 during Sony's conference.

Rime focuses on a young boy shipwrecked on a mysterious island. Up until now, it's been marketed as a puzzle adventure in which players get to explore the island while solving different puzzles, uncovering the world's secrets, and discovering the ruins of a forgotten civilization.

Rime is due for release sometime in 2017.
