Sega Megadrive is Reborn
Awesomesauce!
This brings back so many good childhood memories!
+100 for this company doing this.
This is going to rock and excite the old skool gamers. And the price is WIN!
Golden Axe FTW! :D
Thanks for covering it TM! :)
I want to play Streets of Rage 2 again! :D
Wow I remember back in the days I used to love my Sega Megadrive so much. There was this soccer game that I used to play against friends and it was the best multiplayer game ever! :D
I wonder what games we'll get if this new Megadrive is released in SA.
I used to have the Sega Mega drive and my fav game was Sonic.
Sjoe ... it cost R500 back in '94 & the pimped version is the same. hooray \o/
That really is so awesome!
I really wish they could do something similar for the golden china nintendo consoles...
Especially the part including onboard games. They could stack millions on there! Besides, what would be more awesome than plugging that into your pc's tv card and playing nintendo in window/full screen mode on your pc with the proper controllers & obligatory blowing of the cassettes to make them work :D
Bah, I don't believe it reliving/replaying your childhood favourites: they're never the same as when you were a lightie :(
Then again, they don't make games like they used to either. Sigh.
This brings back good memories. I used to have a master system 2 and mega drive before we got our first pc.
I still have tons of my old cartriges. Sonic and Knucles, Sonic 1,2,3, Crude Busters, Atomic Runner, Golden Axe, gods, Road Rash, Mortal Kombat 1,2,3,Ultimate and Trilogy, the works
The original sonic collection... and Contra even though that was only introduced to Sega in the later yrs of the Mega Drive :D
Golden axe ftw.
Was such a wicked game!!
Im just not sure it'll sell as well as they think...
I had a SEGA Master System back in the day, so I wouldn't mind giving this a try if it comes to South Africa. [But if it doesn't, those with a Nintendo Wii would be able to play these games by way of Nintendo's Ye Olde Gaming Console emulator, not so? [For a price]]
On the other paw, I am inclined to agree with Rusty when it comes to nostalgia and the need to filter one's expectations. I revisited some ZX Spectrum classics some time ago and was disappointed to say the least.
OMG I loved megadrive, I still have mine lying around in the garage somewhere, doubt it still works though.
You can't play mortal kombat without the 6pad controller!!!
I want one, complete with Street Fighter and Sonic please.
