If that happens, it might be a good motivating factor to actually buy a console...

They should cut the price on the games as well...they really kill my pocket, so much so that i'd rather buy games for my Xbox and just use the PS3 for Blueray movies....

Games on each system are evenly priced more or less.
Its the console itself that's the problem

No ways..... they are way cheaper than PS3. Atleast R200 cheaper.( i mostly buy previously played)

There your problem you buy mostly previously play, there a couple of companies in cape town that trade your old games for a new at a cost. I dont do it myself as i collect games. And anyway in comparison Xbox games are expensive as they cost similairly to PS3 versions.

Sony is already losing money on every single Ps3 they produce, so a price cut is out of the question!!

Do you think SONY made a mistake in specifying a BluRay drive for the PS3? Is it not one of the more expensive components?
