At the Game Developers Conference in 2009, SCEA Hardware Marketing Director John Koller was quoted as saying that Sony were looking at a Gran Turismo 5 release across "all platforms", leading to speculation that the game could also be ported to the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, or even a PC release, which Polyphony Digital President Kazunori Yamauchi has alluded to in the past.
His original Quote
“Ultimately, they [Polyphony Digital] are a developer who makes a lot of their own decisions, but we are looking at GT5 across all platforms, just to see what makes the most sense. [...] Seriously though, there is really nothing we can really say about it, other than it’s a franchise we would like to continue. So, other than that, we don’t really have any announcements regarding the game at this time.”
E3 2009 may be even more interesting than we originally thought…
Considering all the exclusives sony has lost of the last 2 years vf5, tekken 6, ff13, DMC 4, Assasins Creed etc. it wont be a major surprise if GT5 goes to pc or even the 360
