50 games that made 2010 great - which are your favourites?

Bad Company
Mass effect 2
Bioshock 2 the ending is well worth playing this game.

Lol Transformers as well in the list.
 
Bad company 2 was the highlight of my year.

But why the hell is cnc 4 there? It was a massacre of my fav franchise. It made red alert 3 look good.
 
Wasn't AvP on the most disappointing list as well?

Anyway,

AC Brotherhood
Red Dead Redemption, can't deny it - it is a brilliant game
Split Second
NFS Hot Pursuit

Dishonerable mention: Black Ops, remembered for all the wrong reasons.

The new need for speed is pretty awesome.

Well it should be taking a price dip soon. Great game, I just never had the time to really get into it. Sold it to my brother, so I can easily get it back at some point :p Oh and Hot Pursuit is totally awesome.

Im just curious The Force Unleashed 2 is widely considered one of the worst games of the year, why is it on the favs list?
 
You know what the problem is? 50 games. If you finished one a week you'd be keeping up. And let's assume you paid about R400 a game, that's R20,000 for the year. I haven't played 95% of those.
 
Well, from that list I have played:

Darksiders (Not so memorable)
ModNation (Lotta Fun)
BFBC2 (My Fave for 2010)
Bioshock 2 (my 2nd fave after BFBC2, will cherish forever)
POP: Forgotten Sands (So-so...doesnt compare to the Trilogy)
Skate 3 (Always fun)
Dante's Inferno (My secret shame...enjoyed it)
God of War 3 (Loved it...would like to see Kratos & Dante fight it out one day)
Heavy Rain (Awesome for what it was, despite zero replay value...will recommend)

True That. The only titles I picked up at release this year was GOW3 and Bioshock II...The rest some months after release/secondhand so saved a lotta moolah....

What is the author's defenition of a great 2010?

MoH??? No. Not a chance in hell.

I suspect that some games were mentioned merely because they were the least kak of the bad ones. Don't get me wrong, there were some real gems, but there were a good couple of stinkers as well.
 
For me:

- Battlefield Bad Company 2
Awesome game, best MP of 2010!

- Just Cause 2
Best sandbox game I've played, much better than GTA.

- Red Dead Redemption
Best Cowboy game ever! Would make a killer movie as well!

- Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
First entry into the PoP games and I must say I enjoyed it but sword fighting was lame :(

- Sid Meier's Civilization V
Brilliant turn based strategy game!

- Call of Duty: Black Ops
Didn't enjoy it that much. The SP campaign was good but the MP sucks balls!

- Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
Best freaking game of 2010!


I wanted to get:

- Star wars: The Force Unleashed 2
The reviews put me off it.

- Fable III
Don't have a Xbox 360 and the PC version wasn't out yet.

- Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
Dunno why I never got this game actually...

- The Settlers 7
The DRM issues put me off it.
