XBox Live South Africa Arcade

I may have missed the news since I only got an XBox 360 in December but will XBox Live South Africa ever get the other Arcade games? Or will we only get newly added games?

I've been eyeing the games available for the US and UK and wow I would love to buy and play some of them.

Apparently there's a hold-up with our local ratings board. Since we don't use PEGI / ESRB ratings here, all the content has to be re-rated.

The strange thing is that Lara Croft: GoL has both a demo and extra game content but one can't buy the actual game.

Yup, very disappointed in xbox live sa. Got a wireless network adapter just for it. Solution: create a local guest user account and sign it into xbox live uk. Check usage restrictions before downloading anything, but you can carry most stuff across to all user accounts.

There is a rumour that everything should be available by March, but I'm not waiting. As wolfie said, just create a seperate US/UK account and buy the XBLA games on there. It will be available to all accounts on the xbox.

Our first big goal with launching Xbox Live in South Africa was to enable the multi-player functionality that so many of our local users have been clamouring for, and to ensure as smooth a migration process as possible. We’re fully aware that our job is far from done.

We’re fully committed to delivering a full Live service in South Africa as soon as possible, and have an exciting announcement coming up in the near future in this regard. Once we’re able to give you more details, you’ll be the first to know.

I wish they would answer questions straight and truthfully.

Xbox Live SA is pretty disappointing considering that they have limited you from so many things...even one of them being the fact that with kinect, all voice commands are gone and most features like zune and inside xbox are gone :O
