Default WoW: Is early group questing still relevant?

With so many players enjoying WoW's endgame, has it become more difficult for players to perform group quests early on? And more importantly, how necessary is group questing?

WoW: Is early group questing still relevant?

i like both solo and grouping in a game. as long as when im group its not about how fast we can finish the damned quest(s).

This is one of the reasons why WoW never appealed to me, I can renember getting to a stage where I could find no one to quest with. Everyone was either soloing or getting some uber high level guildie to run instances for them. It was as if no one wanted a challenge or adventure. I couldn't tell anymore who was human or who was a bot. Spend my last few days in the battleground before letting my subscription end.

I played guild wars when factions came out, before heroes got introduced. You were forced to group with actual people. Played that game from start to finish in groups. Same with nightfall when it was new, played game from start to finish in groups of people. (when heroes still sucked). Don't think that would still be possible anymore though, newbies just won't have the same experience I had.

the thing is with wow, all newb areas are low populated due to fact that most people are iether pvp-ing or going about "high" level areas.

even eq2 is low to no in starter areas, but as with GW as you said you had to group and it was fun. I just stopped with wow because it just not appealing any more for me.

thinking back to NwN 1 online, playing waterdeep mod (after nordoc) that made the game was grouping, and for those who can remember the mod there wasn't that much to waterdeep anyways apart from going about with a group and rp/questing around.

this was about the only reason why i stayed on with Hellgate apart from its uber repetitiveness and yawnnes and so on, running either hard core elite or elite with few other people and seeing how far you can push it- well thats kept me coming back.

The same thing happened to me in WOW I just couldn't get a group together for early instances. Thats why I stopped playing.

I really wish they encouraged grouping in games more. Guild Wars had it right before they introduced heroes.

I just started WoW and its rare to form a party and set out for the same goals, mostly when I'm in a party its with rl friends helping each other out or boosting. I can remember from guildwars that you could only get so far in the game without help from other people, and then you need to join a party to continue with the game.
