What is the latest news on a release date? Google says fall, that's all.
Should be releasing in October

Runic Games say September / October. Since it isn't coming out today then it should come out October. I would expect it towards end of October though

Couldn't they just release the damn PC version when it's ready and have XBL wait for it until that is ready?
Answer: No, Microsoft's XBL policy has been changed to "if you don't release XB360 version at the same time as other platforms, we cancel your contract"

Yeah first they bribed people to get onto their platform now that they are in a good position they can threaten them. I can just see as soon as their position wavers developers will jump ship faster than you can say exclusivity agreement.

When and how will it be released?
While the original estimate was Spring 2011, development of the XBLA version of Torchlight pushed it back to "Late summer." As Runic has a "it will be done when it's done" philosophy, the current estimate is "by Thanksgiving." (late November)
