For me, the DRM's damage has already been done. Ubisoft's reputation is the kind where, if you think about their games, it leaves a foul taste in your mouth.
I wrote off the Assassin's Creed series after finding out about the DRM and I made peace with that. I own and loved the first one but the DRM succeeded in getting me to write off all their games so as much as I would've once loved to get a new Assassin's Creed game, it no longer holds any appeal to me--I have other plans of what to do with my money.
Don't get me wrong, I'm pleased that Ubisoft has rid themselves of it but it's too little too late. Like I said, the damage is done.
