Maybe I am, hard to say. In general everyday life, I assume that most people do not play games, so speaking to them about games just seems pointless. I save my games talk for my friends who I know play games.
Also, if I were single and I were to meet a cute girl at a bar, I probably wouldn't be in a mad rush to tell her that I love playing video games. Maybe that's because in my experience (playing online) many gamers are childish, obnoxious trolls, and I don't really want to be associated with them.
It's not that I consciously keep it a secret, I guess I just don't see it as something which defines me, so I won't bring it up unless there is a specific reason to do so.
...only if you are a bieber fanDo you suffer from 'gamer shame'?

Bwahahaha! So true.
My question is always "Do you like Star Wars?"
If the answer starts with an "ummm" its bye bye baby.
Luckily found a woman who is almost as big a Geek as me.

You wouldn't want a gamer chick?![]()
cons: in game parting of gold and items as with money parting irl.
Nonsense. Even in an MMO, we've never had that problem, or at least it's never BEEN a problem, mostly because, as in real life, it strengthens you both for the battle ahead so that you can, as a team, truly kick some ass.

you don't have a girl![]()
my partner is a big time nerdy gamer. i've parted with enough items and gold, there's also the times where one would rather not game and get out where as the other party prefers gaming over that; both sides.
Already do :3also, you might have to buy every cool title 2x![]()
