I like it. That's about the only endorsement I can give you.

It's is not as refined as Oblivion or Dragon Age, but it has it's strong points. The ability to upgrade your items, weapons, etc. to a very high level. The ability to make custom spells with the spell cards and spell amulets and modifiers really is nice.

But you need to be a focused spell caster to use the spells to their full potential and there are quite a few different specializations in magic.

Alchemy is also well thought out and the system allows for a lot of experimentation.

The main quest line is about 20 - 30 hours - that's what I've read and the rest of the stuff should give about 100 hours of content to play through. The map is insanely huge!

The game would've been great if they polished it a lot more and sorted the bugs, but it is fine the way it is. Get it, play co-op with other people online and play other games with your local buddies.

It goes for R499.95 for PS3 dude. I know for a fact that BT Games Bloemfontein has stock and I'm pretty sure the other branches have it as well. If you do decide to get it, add my friend on PSN if you don't already have him: HiTech_Hate_13. We're planning on jamming the co-op from about tomorrow night (waiting for cap ) and he also has Killzone 3 and Bulletstorm, etc.

I'd say the game is definitely worth it. I too am a RPG junkie and I loved the first Two Worlds, the sequel is no different.

I bought the first Two Worlds when it came out, I think it was 2005/6. I installed it and didn't play it any further because I got hooked by Oblivion and lost 246 hours of my life playing it.

But then December 2010 I got bored and didn't have anything else to do, so I took my games chest, which is an old mortar case from the army - yes it is cool - and I saw Two Worlds...

I installed it, played it and liked it a lot. I could kick myself for not playing it back then... The unlimited-ness of the game was epic! The game was fun and so I got myself the second game, I like the game and will play it again tonight.

One last question, is the combat any good?

I think I will pick it up then . Two RPG junkies saying its good should be enough of a reason to get it, will pop by my local BT and see if they have stock

The combat is fun, it has some nice finisher moves - if they land and animate correctly - but I heard this is addressed in a patch for the PC version, not sure how it plays on consoles. There aren't a lot of skills but they are easily accessible and cool-down times are quite fast so you can easily spam attacks or vary your attacks and then your other skills should be recharged.

Thanks mate, will definitely give this a look at!

Playing the co-op with a friend now and it is AWESOME! It's great to have some human backup. We struggled to connect to each other, but after some googling I found a console command to skip NAT restrictions and it has been smooth sailing ever since. I don't think I've ever seen another console game with a functional developer console. I still have no idea what exactly NAT is, but it works.

Picking up my copy on PC this weekend, but since I am playing RIFT I likely will have little time to play for quite a while. Either way, I am glad to finally get it.

    Thumbs up

Nice review there! I think I'll actually give it a bash.
Take everything I say with a pinch of salt. Infact, goto your nearest beach and snort some seawater.
