    Ok so just a "figure 8" No special wattage/ampage or anything? I am very noob with these things.

    Nah the power cable has no other task than to carry power the PS3s internal power board does the adjustments you asked about... So any cable will do, just don't buy a cheap ass one. You do get grades of cable.
