There isn't really a need to have a secondary gold account for getting specials because in SA we get exactly the same stuff, maybe some promotions like the arcade deals and stuff like that wouldn't always be available to us but we aren't COMPLETELY left out of the dark :P

I check my stats at http://www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com/. You can also add your friends to a watch list and see what you've unlocked and a bunch of other cool stuff
I find if you just want to game online, then the sa live account works fine, but if you actually want to have access to content like games on demand, arcade games, indie games, etc, then the sa live is sadly lacking. They put a couple of new games up every couple of weeks. Don't think it'll ever get to the point where it is in UK or US.
If you want to see the differences in the marketplace, go to http://www.xbox.com/en-ZA/, check out what's available, then change the region to US or UK by clicking the South Africa on the top left corner, and see what's available there.

Actually that number is incorrect. Because the marketplace is a bit sneaky. You'll see that most of that is wallpapers, stuff for your avatar and so forth.
I'm not going to look now but the last time I checked, SA Live had 22 Arcade games (I kid you not).
22! Going with SA Live was a stupid choice on my side. I should have done my research. Plus add to the fact that being a Gold member gives you access to the Deal of the Week, which get this: It is most of the time not available in SA Live!
