I game. I agree with the article. I'm ashamed of gamers too. Not all of them, though. Consider the minority who are going on about my e-penis is larger than your e-penis... Are you not ashamed to be associated with those people, for instance? I know I am, because they are giving the rest of us a bad name, aren't they?

What you have to do is consider the majority who don't give in to childish whathaveyous and whatnots. Admittedly though, there is nothing to write about that, is there? That is because we don't make headlines.

No journalist is going to write:

"I was thinking of something to write and decide that all gamers are cool. I therefore decided to write nothing. Tune in next week, though."

Fox News will never report on:

"Videogames: They are fucking awesome. Buy one."

I am a gamer.
The writer of the blog became the second one to go on record to state they are ashamed of gamers.
Let me explain why this is both hilarious and sad.
1. This is a friggin gamer website.
2. That means gamers are going to read that you , the writer , are ashamed of them.
3. You the writer knew that gamers are going to read it so this is either an attempt at insulting the readers or youre tired of writing for us , so which is it ?
4. Not all us "gamers" fall into the catagories that aquire us all to deserve shame yet we all , who read this , are blamed for the same things.
5. Everyone of your readers is a potential critic , that does not mean that we all have to shut up when you say you are ashamed of your readers , where the mass majoroty of your readers are actually all very intellectual and all very capable of being stand-up "gaming" citizens.
6. I believe in the art of critiqing so to end this on a positive critique , let me say this , It is good that someone is saying there is some negative element whitin the gaming community , I just find it amusing that a Gamer-blog writer has the gall to state they are ashamed of us. If thats how you feel go find something else to do. Im proud of the bunch of guys here who make out the mass majority of the SA gaming community.

We are, but I know for sure I am not the doos who uses a grenade launcher attachment to spite everyone else and then calling their moms names in hopes of getting a heated reply. Then proceeding to teabag other players and sending them a message about how shitty they are at game X. You then exit to dashboard to watch a video and you still get messages from the said person which reads as follows: "aRe YoU DoDgings MY MessaGeS you Loooser? I Pwnt noobz LIkKE you lol xD"

I don't know if all gamers are immature or not. But for the love of God, I can understand now that gamers fail to analyse things objectively.

Whenever you put a bunch of people together, label them, there will always be those halfwits who will give the group a bad name. It can be sport teams supporters, music lovers or whatever - I would suggest that gamers are no different.

True you could even go as far as sub-catagorising people. FPS Players, RTS players, RPG players, except most of us probably play a few of those as well.
