    Duke Nukem is just amazing. It proves that mindless killing can be fun if you're not retarded about it. The fact that they shut the project down is painful. 12 years and you don't ever release it...they must've been close.

    But then again, I have no idea how a project can take that long. They must have had to go back and change everything countless times.

    That's what they did. They swapped between Engines (Unreal, Quake, Inhouse etc) so many times and restarted from scratch quite a few times aswell.
