Samsung HT-C5500 5.1 sound system review (MyGaming)

Pretty interested to know what other people think of this. I'm currently thinking of buying a sound system, but really don't have a clue. Can someone explain to me the one unit issue?

I bought one of these units last year @ R2999. Really great system. You can do Facebook, Google maps on it if you connect it via the ethernet port. I have my connected to my Samsung Series 6 100hz La32c630k1r Series 6 100hz LCD TV. Put in a Bluray movie & wow, will never ever go to the cinema in my life again. Only had one issue with it so far, sometimes when i power it up the touch panel does not light up. All i do i s unplug the HDMI cable, switch on and off, the plug the cable back in and all is fine.

I just built my own home theater system, was a little bit more than this setup, but personally I think it is way better than any of these out of the box setups.

Looks like a great system, and I just love Samsung products. My brother is looking for an affordable system, I would recommend this.
If you have a bit more of a budget, go with the Logitech Z5500, it's pc speakers, but oh boy do they rock (only problem is, you don't get a blu-ray player with it)

I don't see any way of connecting the PS3 into the device? According to the website it has one audio input (non disclosed), and an HDMI out?

It has two HDMI in, one HDMI out, and an optical input which I have connected to my PS3.

This isn't bad at all. I paid about the same amount for my logitech system and that didn't have the blue ray, or any multi-media capabilities for that matter.
And the speakers aren't even that much more powerful than these...

I'm still using my Logitech Z5500's for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 but it requires me to change the dam optical cable if I want to switch from Xbox360 to PS3. I think the Z5500's are rock solid for gaming but for overall home entertainment they are not ideal due to the small speaker size, makes the sound very directional and requires precise placement in order to create a "good" listening experience.. or you could just turn up the volume REALLY LOUD! :P
I would dig to get something like this for my lounge and consoles.
