Well done Azimuth! Feels good not having to drag those extra 15kgs around with you doesn't it?

I got fat last year, didn't like it, so I started with paleo diet/primal blueprint in January. 6kgs down (84 -> 78kg, 179cm), 9cms gone from my waist, and I've got an insane amount of energy so now I actually want to exercise. I chow loads of protein, fat, and veggies; never have to starve myself and I don't get twitchy after 4hrs without eating.

Started weight training and mountain biking again after 3 years away too. Starting to hate my desk job though, going to have to get a bike or treadmill so I can burn off energy while I work.

That had better be your height and not the circumference of your waist

Personally, I'd say waist is more important than height when talking about weight

Yep, height. Waist at navel was 100cm, down to 91cm. I haven't been tracking my weight much, because I've been putting on muscle so it's not a good measure of body fat percentage. All I have to go on is a measuring tape and the pinch test.

    *belly bump*

Reckon I'm about halfway to my goal. I used to do 50km/80km mountain bike races three years ago and still had a belly, now that I stick to carbs from veggies instead of pasta my body runs a whole lot better. I tell everyone to try paleo for a month and see how they feel. All that bullshit we get fed about whole grains being good for us didn't work for me.

I'm a vegetarian I find it pretty easy to pick up and lose weight although I've pretty much maintained the same waistline and weight for about six years. I'm more content with "healthy" than my waistline. I'm quite fit, although not as fit as I'd like to be. I'd like more toning but... meh, it's not high on my priority list, to be frank.

Yeah, health is my main goal, but I also need to get my body fat way down so I dodge diabetes and other nasties. The side effect of looking good is a bonus.

I tried being vegetarian for two weeks but I started hallucinating about steaks and seafood :/ What do you do for protein? I don't handle dairy well so I found my weight training twice a week nearly destroyed me from lack of protein.
