Twitter. So who tweets?

So basically, twitter is a monitoring tool to tell you how and when other people are breathing and taking a shit? Even a cellphone pisses me off enough already. Not to mention failbook. I don't need to share every little freakin' thing with everyone to the point where we might as well have been attached to each other by the fsucking hip!

Lol, sorry bout that Online social networking is just a little bit of an epic fail/waste of time and life in my opinion.

Twitter is what you want it to be, when i check my twitter i have the latest gaming news, interesting info from game devs, some interesting tweets from a range of people and a few funny tweets from comedians I follow.

I also discriminate heavy on who I follow, a majority of a persons tweets must be of interest to me before I follow them, going through over 200 tweets a day is a bit tiresome

Yup I see what you guys are saying and I understand that it's useful, but my personal preference is just keep it simple. Some people post all the info they get from other places like twitter on facebook anyway, so I'm not missing out that

For instance, Omega posts a lot of interesting articles and link etc on facebook and I get to see them from there without being on twitter, although he probably gets a lot of that stuff from RSS feeds/twitter/younameit.

only social network I really need is deviant art. It's the only place that has anything of intrest to me. Through the art the people upload I can get information about upcoming games through watching consept artists and new, cool webcomics through either the artists themselves or through fanart. Beyond that, lots of pretty pictures.

i use twitter. Its useful to not only showcase your own stuff, but to get involved in the community. I am trying to get a footprint in the indie game world, so its really cool to be able to chat to other developers and stuff without having to send boring formal emails.

Seeing as though I regularly use my Failbook account I don't see a point to join Twitter as well. I suppose it would be interesting in some ways but it seems a little self-indulgent to let people know what I'm doing every other hour. Something about it that makes me feel uncomfortable I guess.
