Thread: Input Devices, Upgrade

    Lightbulb Input Devices, Upgrade

    Hey all

So I'm looking into getting myself a new keyboard, mouse, mouse pad and headphones.

This is I've been looking around for so long that I honestly can't decided what to get.

    My budget: R1500

I have looked around at Razer, ROCCAT, Logitech, Cyborg, Steelseries and even Microsoft.

I would like something like the following:

Keyboard: Media keys, 5+- macro keys, led lighting, and maybe if possible for the keys to be nice and easy to press and not make so much noise.

Mouse: Something good for fps games, maybe a macro key or two doesn't matter, must be wired, hate wireless stuff.

Mouse pad: something good to compliment the mouse, I want a nice smooth mouse pad so I can move my mouse easily on it.

Headphones: Possibly the hardest to decide on, it must be very comfortable, I would prefer it to have 5.1 virtual is ok, usb wired,

Please help me out here guys, gimme some suggestions.

Personally I think, if you want to get yourself some decent stuff, your budget is a bit too low. Might want to reconsider and save up some more cash!

    Morning

I was looking into buying a keyboard and mouse myself.

    What I was looking at:

RAT 7 Mouse goes for around R820
    and
Cyborg 7 Keyboard goes for around R710

I haven't done my homework around the Headset and Mouse Pad yet though....

Yeah, valid point, just want to see if there isn't something that I'm missing, I have a shopping cart of razer stuff for about R1500, so I'm just looking around abit more.

I love the razer brand. Mind sharing what items you've got in your cart?

Yeah your budget is a bit low for all those components.
R1500 is fine if you remove one component from the list.

    Atm im using

    Keyboard
Microsoft Sidewinder X4 for its price its an awesome keyboard.(like R500 or less)
Back lit keys, macro keys, anti ghosting and the keys are quiet and soft to press

    Mouse
I had the Razer copperhead and now the Lachesis.
    Both awesome.

    Mouse Pad
    Razer goliathus Speed edition(biggest 1)

    Headphones
Razer Megalodon these are amazing! Virtual 7.1 and usb so surround sound on any pc,even with no sound card. And the mic is clear as day.

Thanks, swapped the Lycosa for the x6, the price difference isn't much.
