Default How do I lower the pixel size of an image?

    Howzit guys,

So I wanted to get myself a new avatar but when trying to apply it I noticed that the pixel size was too big . So Google some more and found the exact same image but with a smaller pixel size (Still too big for the forum ). So I was wondering how do I take away some of the pixels of the image I want?

Ok so what you actually asking is how to resize the image...Because pixel size refers to image size actually. So it comes down to the same thing as screen resolution. So if a picture is 1920x1080 that is its pixel size. If you want it smaller you would have to use a image program to resize it to what ever the forum specifies. I use GIMP or ACDSEE to resize my images because it is quick and painless.

Irfanview is pretty powerful, simple to use, and free.

Or as an alternative Paint.net. I find it to be one of the best free image editors.

    Dude are you on Windows?

Just use paint? You can scale by percentage, just scale by around 60%and you should get something useable.
(just remember to "save as" so that you dont destroy the original
