Turns out I missed that episode's punch by a minute or so.

It's one of the reasons I'm not terribly fond of Naruto and Bleach either, despite having watched both. They spend to much time talking about what they're doing, what they're going to do, why their opponent's previous attack didn't end the fight, and then, of course, explaining why their next attack is going to make their opponent die horribly - like, seriously - stop mouthing off and deck the bloke already. And then, surprise surprise, their opponent doesn't die horribly, and they take the cue and start the cycle again in the opposite direction.

And this goes on for 3 or 4 episodes, and then in the final episode a mosquito sneezes and someone is distracted at a critical moment, and despite resisting attacks that took out the local mountain range, someone is knocked out by the weakest attack on the planet.
loooooool tell me about it. With black lagoon bullets just sommer start flying
And full metal panic. No bs just pure destruction. And a little awkward romance.
