Quality Wise 10bit just has better compression vs 8bit. Two videos that are encoded identical, the 8 Bit would be 500Mb where the 10 bit would be about 270/300. (this is all dependant on many other factors, Deblocking, Ref Frames, Audio, Motion Estimation and what not).
Hmm thanks. How many anime is still encoded in 10 bit these days...? Normally I would jsut play anime on my PC and send it via hdmi to my tv so I've never really paid too much attention to it.
