So I tried changing my settings of my graphics card last night, the new one. And alas things are still the same.

I don't understand it. I was really hoping for a real burst in frame rate but its just not happening and I really can't understand what could be the problem

Hmm, using the latest drivers? Is the extra PCI-e power plugged in? What cpu are you running? Download gpu-z to make sure all the clocks are as they should be. Remember that the framerate will be capped at your screens refresh rate so you won't see higher than say 60hz for example.

    I have the latest drivers.

As for the extra PCI-e power plug, well there just isn't anywhere to plug it into which puzzled me for a good half hour. Initially thought the card was faulty but I tried switching my PC on and it worked so I just left it.

My Screens refresh rate is set to 75Hz and I'm only getting a max of 64fps in WoW on the same settings I used with my old card. My old card gave me up to 70/71fps.

Very strange indeed Joker. I've uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them but things are still the same. I then ran GPU-Z and found out my memory clock speed is in fact only 900Mhz as opposed to the 1800Mhz it says on the box o.O

Haven't installed the latest drivers yet but I'll do that tonight and see what happens.

And I'm running XP Keldarza...which I later found out doesn't support DirectX 10

Venom, 900mhz is right, it's DDR memory i.e. 'double data rate' so you effectively multiply the 900 by two which is 1800. What CPU do you have? A slow CPU can limit the framerate you're able to achieve, no matter what monster graphics card you have.

I went into WoW last night [newbie...] and my fps was stuck at 60fps with a 9800GTX+ on an LCD (max settings)
    Wait... what?
