The reason for dumping his body in the ocean is simple, he's Muslim, they have to be buried before the sun sets on the day of their death. Since no country, not even his birth country, wanted him they buried him at see in a gesture to the Arab world that though they hated the man they still respect his Religion. Saddam was a different story, he was captured and trailed in Iraq after which he was executed by hanging. Osama had been tried in absentia and convicted which is why they executed him when they stormed his compound. As for you;Autopsy is normally performed to determine cause of death, in this case its rather easy... he got shot. Plus I am sure that what ever ship they took the body to after wards had a fully staffed & fully qualified medical detachment that could do an autopsy if one was required.guess the tier 1 forces have degrees in autopsy as well hey ...
