Cool, I'll have a look at joining the clan - although I've only just reached tier 2, been playing in my spare time. I see how they encourage you to go premium - introduced a friend to the game thinking it'd be cool to go into battle together - then found out I needed a platoon and therefore premium.
@Fred, Are you on the EU server? I'm on 384 and have no noticeable lag (ping 260-300ms)
DarthMol, the biggest advantage to having a premium account it the bonus EXPERIENCE and CREDITS that you gain from battles. Once you reach Tier 5 it can be very, very tough to grind through to tier 6 without premium.
When I consider the money I've spent on this game, it's well worth it. The developers support this game like crazy. In the four months I've been playing there have already been 4 or 5 new maps, a few new tanks and tons of patches to address balance. Hell in the last patch they changed the voices of the tank crews and the community complains... within 3 days it was back to the originals.
To me this game is simply awesome and worth every cent.

Check for downloads, etc in the background. On my 4Mbs connection it sometimes lags if there's a download in the background.
I'm quite surprised there are a few people that play this game. Myself and stats have been playing since the alpha build last year, if your looking for experienced players then take a look at our profiles

Anybody here playing World of Tanks, see its been a long time since the last tread? If you do how do you all feel about the 8.9 patch, or let me rephrase what do you think about the game since 8.6?
