Nervous about Battlefield 3 I think, there's no way they would have gone this way otherwise. Still only buying BF3 this year.

The thing that's drving me insane is are they still using that damn quake 3 engine to render the game? They should develop a nice new engine for a game that has such a massive fan base. Something that can utilize modern hardware better and not waste our time.
Activision can kiss my ass. Will not but another COD. Especially considering how they plant to milk us even further with this new scheme.
My hopes are up for BF3. After the flop of Black Ops, I am in no rush to buy MW3. But I will check it out when it is launched and various reviews have been conducted. I have a feeling that BF3 is going to be huge and that Activision are trying to adapt MW3 to suit those who like BF3. For instance, the destructible environment and larger urban environment sounds very Battlefieldy.
They need to use the engine used in MW2, it worked well. Just give us dedicated servers, larger maps and something new... They shouldn't develop another engine just so that it can be over-glorified.

Heavily modified version of the quake 3 engine...the IW 2.0 Engine was the MW2 engine which is the 2nd Gen engine of the Cod4 engine....most likley a slightly modfied IW 2.5 engine will be released or just the IW 2.0 engine again, there is only so much a dev team can dev in a year reallyThe thing that's drving me insane is are they still using that damn quake 3 engine to render the game? The dev cycle is 2 years btw.

what we can expect from MW3 is probably the best from MW1/MW2 together with none of the BS ie P2P etc
it would be nice to have guns like the G3 against the FAL or the G36C against ACR
but alot(and mine) have either fully lost faith or are not holding thier breath.....

The game was delayed because of the legal battle and they do have 3 studios working on the title, IW, Raven and Sledghammer Games. But I've not read anywhere that they only started this year.
