Thought so. Went to BT this morning to fetch my CE of The Witcher 2. No pre-order DLC and no comic book, saying that they'll contact me when they arrive. However, got a PM this morning as well:
So, naturally, I decided I'd complain for him.Originally Posted by Anonymous

Spoke to the staff at the store about my dilemma, they both said that only the folk at HQ can refund me and that I should e-mail them... again. However, on a positive note, I forwarded the e-mail to the store while I was there too and they said they'd try to sort it out for me and they'd keep in contact.
I've also had it with BT, the last three times I've visited the Fourways branch they've been out of stock of the title I want. On top of that the smug little band of nerds working there never feel the need to apologise or even bother checking if other branches have stock.
Zaps FTW.
haha... I'd love to but two things:
1) muh schnookums doesn't have his yet, so I will only play TW2 when he can (it's a sort of silent agreement we have with each other--we start games together)
2) I lost my frikkin' savegames for The Witcher so I've been replaying to have one to import to TW2.
I enjoy the series so hardly too bugged to replay one of my all-time favourite games
See, that's the thing--I love the people who work at my local store... granted it's an hour's drive to get there. They know what they're talking about, they're always friendly and always helpful and apologetic when something goes wrong (read: every time I collect an order).
I'm sorry to hear about your issue but, selfishly, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had grief with them.
And in other news, just got a call from my local BT Games store and was told that my refund will be processed and clear within a week. So finally SOME GOOD NEWS!
Also, as I said in the Witcher 2 chat thread, no comic book but I got my pre-order DLC codes and a compensatory DLC for the said lack of comic book. Glad about that, at least.
To everyone who pre-ordered and paid for their Witcher 2 copies at BT Games.

BT Games can stick their complimentary dlc up their ass. I bought a Collectors Edition to have the Collectors Items, NOT FUCKING DLC!!!!!!!![]()

There is a Hell, Believe me, I've seen it. If there was a Heaven, I'd keep it a secret
One thing though, we got the collector's items in the collector's edition. The comic book was a pre-order incentive (i.e. a free bonus).
I would agree though that the first paid-for orders should get, regardless of what edition they bought. Anything less is insulting. Our orders are of just as much value as the standard (read: premium) edition if not more so.
But *shrug* at least they compensated us for it and I'm happy with that. Much better than, "oh, sorry, too bad for you."
What kind of system of organisation does BTGames employ? Are they a bunch of baboons?
I preordered Brink about two weeks ago, but have in the meantime decided not to get it. I was planning on having it couriered to me, but due to the fact that I could get posting for free from Take2, and BTGames wanted to charge me R100, I decided not to get it from BTGames, and after that decided not to get it at all. It's my bad, as I forgot to cancel the preorder, but seeing as their store page says any unpaid orders expire after the game's release day, it shouldn't be too much of a biggie.
Now, earlier today, I get an sms saying my copy of Brink is available for collection at their store. I ignored it, as I thought it would just expire if I don't go get it. Then just now, another sms comes through giving me my bonus preorder DLC codes? WTF? How can you send somebody who hasn't even paid for the game yet a code for DLC? I deleted the sms, as I have no intention of buying the game and don't want to be accused of using a code for which I didn't pay later. How the hell does this work? They'd better not give me anytrouble over this, as I certainly don't have the money for the game now and I'm definitely not paying for it even if I had. Isn't it their job to check that somebody paid before sending them DLC?
It's also the last time I do business with BTGames, as the service I've been receiving lately is absolutely horrible and I've very rarely ordered a game from them, then when getting there they had it instore. The closest to me is Tygervalley and they seem clueless as to what's going on around them and the other one I used to frequent was Canal Walk, and those guys' attitudes stank to high heaven.
*sigh* It's been six days so I thought I'd e-mail and check up. I e-mailed both orders and Steven Moore. I received a response from Steven Moore in about five minutes flat asking: Please advise what refund this is for.
I would've assumed they'd use my e-mail address to check but, no matter. I e-mailed him (again) citing all the details and asked him to just update me on what's going on with that refund. It's been an hour and fifteen minutes so far. I'm inclined to believe that the moment you request a refund they pretend to be deaf, dumb and blind to it.
Seriously, if I had any doubts that my business dealings with them is over, those doubts have been eradicated...
Ask Take2, Prophecy, Kalahari, etc for a refund and you get one within 24 hours, no questions asked.
And sorry, Graal, I didn't see your post before now but that's hardly surprising. I think it's a typical example of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing and the brain is suffering from some kind of multiple personality disorder.
