Do you pre-order online mate? Because I would always have a problem if I pre-ordered in-store, but since I've been pre-ordering online I've never had a problem since!

"All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible."
- T.E. Lawrence
Nope I haven't had any issues with them either...
A phone call can be followed up with an email, and you may have received more immediate attention...If I had given them a good old bollocking over the phone, I wouldn't have e-mails to which to refer them when they change their tuneAnd no evidence with which to protect my purchases.

Pre-order many collector's editions from them then? Necuno has had worse issues than I have and I can almost guarantee you that they stem from the same problems on their end, not ours.
Once again, I don't see why it should be my prerogative to cater to their inadequacies? Firstly, I placed the pre-order, then I had to request that they update the order? This is in any way justifiable?A phone call can be followed up with an email, and you may have received more immediate attention...![]()
And had I waited and never received an update, that would be excusable because I didn't make a phone call? I don't understand how/why you're defending them.
I've never used the online BT Games shop. Besides, why buy from them when you can buy from Zaps?I get my 360 games from Zaps and pc games from Steam. Well in most cases. I'm also trying to support the MyGaming shop which I think we should all do. As soon as Tinny gets the game that I want to pre-order.
Sucks about your ordeal though Ly.![]()
No, no--it'll only really "suck" once they screw up and I don't get my games. For now I hope I've at least nipped a problem before it could become anything serious.
As for the MyGaming shop, I'd love to support them but R70 for delivery is a bit steep considering the free delivery competition. If not for that, I would happily
I've also never used Zaps but think I'll give them a look next time. Basically all my pre-orders (Fable 3, The Witcher 2 CE, Deus Ex:HR AE, Dungeon Siege 3 LE and Duke Nukem Forever BoS) are paid for. If my orders get screwed up, it's BT's fault, no-one else's.
Thanks though, Solitude :3
Ly, come on, just because I haven't had issues with them doesn't mean I'm not sympathetic to you.....dial down the aggression a notch please.
Stop putting words in my mouth - I am not defending them, merely offering you an alternative to sort out your problem..Once again, I don't see why it should be my prerogative to cater to their inadequacies? Also, every single time (yes, every SINGLE time) I've fetched my games from BT's store in George so far, I've had to wait no less than 10 minutes for the guys there to confirm that the order I'm there to collect has been paid for, regardless of a huge "PAID" sticker on it, because the system doesn't reflect it. And I'm not blaming them at all--they're fantastic and always happy to help and apologetic about it, the problem is with that fucking website/database and the people who handle it.
Unfortunately BT provides the most pre-order titles, zaps does little in comparison and mygamingshop has yet to up the game. As I've said before; we need a good solid pre-ordering system, but got lole'd at. Seriously wtf do I now know.

I'm not being aggressive >.>
Unless I've got some passive-aggression thing going, but no
My point is that I've ordered a bunch of things from them over the last year and basically every single time I've had an issue with them (usually when collecting), this isn't the first time I've had to make sure that they're aware of what's going on with my orders.
A problem which shouldn't ever have occurred in the first place, repeated problems that should've been resolved, oh, I dunno.. a year ago?Stop putting words in my mouth - I am not defending them, merely offering you an alternative to sort out your problem..
The only time I would phone them is if e-mail correspondence no longer works otherwise I have no proof of their promises and assurances and nothing to refer them back to. Should I phone them, it's because they HAVE screwed up; not because they're verging on it.
