I started playing adventure games more than two decades ago. To say that it's my preferred genre is to call Oxygen my preferred form of air. Role playing games seduced me when the adventure game genre began to wane, and never quite filled the need for storylines, character development and puzzling situations. But then, The Witcher came along. Not since Blade Runner has there been such a morally challenging story. The game itself felt alive, my favourite moment was when the lamplighter came along and turned on the street lights one-by-one as the sun began to set. The universe pulled me in so deeply that I bought the two translated novels. If I don't get the sequel, I'll have to learn Polish just so I can read the untranslated novels!
