Not everyone plays games for an action-fest. Many, such as myself, play for the depth of shaping a story around your choices with consequences and non-linearity. Romance plays a part in that.
I find it more enjoyable than reading (granted, I do love to read as well) purely because I can shape a story and events around my character as well as decide how my character interacts with the world.
Graphics? If all you care about is the graphical appeal of a game then you've missed out on some brilliant gems.
Also, romance in a game does not equate with porn. It isn't there to "get off to" unless, of course, that is that you also get off to every bit of intimacy you see on TV, in movies or in adverts?
