Default Skyrim world map "too big" says Bethesda game director

Skyrim is "too big" says Bethesda

Although, if they really believed that they'd probably make it smaller

rofl... It's all well and good to say there are hundreds of this and that... as long as the main and side quests actually use them... I had more fun playing side quests in obliv than the actual main line... dark brotherhood FTW!!

I remember starting Oblivion, then a mate of mine told me that
he had already been playing for 3months & wasn't even 1/2 way done.
    So I didn't even bother.

I mean i'm all for value for money but.....

    Peace "B"

Well, if you simply stick to the main missions, the game is over in about 10 hours.
It's completing all the side-missions that really take up most of the game.

I won't mind a big map. I like exploring and wander off easily to see what is over that hill. Then you go to the next one and so on. I do tend to look for side quests first and leave the main for later. So they can bring on a big map

And why is this a bad thing? Oblivion was big too, but I constantly felt confined in there.
    That's what she said.
