The 570 is comparable to the 6970 with the 6970 achieving higher max framerates but the 570 has higher min and averages in most games.
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2...ndex,2673.html is usually a good gauge for most gamers. Although it doesn't show the min/ave too well, which is what is most important to me.
"multiplatform"... the word that ruins games for PC gamers.

You wont go wrong with the GTX570. Nvidia cards are really very good at the moment. I posted this in the GTX 590 thread aswell but it wont hurt if i put it here too: http://www.guru3d.com/article/vga-charts-spring-2011/3

@Frank: LOL, yes dude, how big is that heatsink? Geez! Awesome cooling though, damn!
@Xerosix: Yeah dude, I'd go for the higher bus width, obviously! One thing I've realised is that Nvidia is purposefully made for gaming. No problems with the new PSU either! Everythings going well. That card is just rocking the shit out of games at the moment.

Well, not the best in the land, but here goes:
Phenom II 965 BE OC to 3.8Ghz with Coolermaster V8.
MSI 790FX-GD70 Motherboard
4GB DDR3 RAM @ 1333 <--- :/ Upgrading that too when I get my i7
That's about all the noteworthy things. I'm thinking of getting the i7 2600k. Same as you again![]()
