Absolutely love this game. Difficulty is spot on. Even back in Witcher 1 playing on hard required constant use of alchemy and items. People have been saturated for too long with easy games. You want easy, play on easy. Props CD Projekt! Keep on doing what you doing according to your ideals!

100%, I've been playing this game on Hard and while I have been struggling. It just feels so much better to get the full enjoyment out of a game. My second play through will be on easy, just so that I can see the different choices etc..

The thing with people complaining that it's too hard, even on easy. Is as you pointed out, they're all used to it. But another thing is that people just want to steam roll through the game to finish it. They play to finish the game, not play to play the game.

I also don't understand why some people are struggling with the QTE's? They are ridiculously easy! I've never lost a single fist fight.

Did the Chiefmince generation make a stink about difficulty levels again?

The Witcher 1's combat system was awesome...having to click attacks in rhythm in order to get combo's sorted etc gave it a nice feel. I'm yet to purchase TW_2 (but not before getting a new GFX card) so I'm not sure how much the new battle system compares, but kudos to CD_Projekt for not making it for sissies.

Sounds like I'm missing out bigtime with not having this game.

Oh well, as my financial constraints go atm, I will just have to wait for it to go on a massive special on Steam before I will have it.

I really like their no compromise stance towards the game as a whole. They had a vision for the game and either it was done their way or not at all. It makes it a little less accessible, but its also what makes it so good.

I just wonder if it will be like Starcraft 2 where you have to download the patch before you can carry on playing
